Detroit Iconoclasm

The last days it has been in the news that the Detroit council has voted to demolish Michigan Central Station There are many doubts about what this actually means for real. It could all be just political power play to force the situation around the station forward, ... who knows. More about the station at the Infrastructurist, where I also found this: Detroit's notorious icon featuring in Godfrey Reggio Naqoyqatsi

The Michigan Central footage begins at about 1:10 in the clip. The soundtrack is composed by Philip Glass, played by Yo-Yo Ma.

Great project. I believe in Detroit's new value system and desperately wish I was there to contribute. I'm in Chi-town but hope to visit and see your work in person soon.
